Job Description

This is a tenured-track faculty position. Desire candidates with on-going professional development interests, love of teaching, and enthusiasm for campus and College committees and activities.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer applicants with: (1) experience working with mental health issues and (2) experience with academic counseling in a college or university.

Supplemental Job Information

This is a college year faculty contract position. The position requires some evening hours and may require overtime during registration periods. To be considered, applicants must have been awarded the qualifying graduate degree and graduate semester hours by August 2017. Applicants with a qualifying degree from an educational institution outside the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom must attach a foreign credential evaluation to their application from one of the members of the National Association of Credential Evaluations Services (website: www.naces.org).

The position requires at least a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Counseling, Guidance, Psychology, Social Work, Student Personnel Services or related fields that pertain to human service professionals. Applicants must attach a copy of their graduate transcript, showing at least the minimum qualifications, at the time of application. In addition, applicants must attach a resume at the time of application. If selected for an interview, applicants must bring an original transcript to the interview showing the awarding of the required degree and required graduate semester hours. If the transcript has not been updated to show the awarding of the required degree or required graduate semester hours, applicants must bring written documentation from the educational institution showing when the degree was awarded.
