Required Qualifications

The position requires at least an Associate’s degree or two-year College equivalent (at least 60 undergraduate semester hours) and at least two years of prior-related work experience. The position requires at least a High School diploma or GED equivalent if substituting experience for education.

Job Description

The position provides advanced secretarial, administrative and clerical support to assigned office to ensure effective and efficient daily office operations. May also assist department with the operation of computerized applications (to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer applicants with demonstrated experience in 1) performing work of a complex and confidential nature, 2) taking initiative in the absence of specific directions, 3) processing, tracking and recording of all aspects of department budgets and purchasing, 4) relaying detailed department information, policies and procedures by phone or email, 5) establishing and maintaining hard copy and computer files, 6) formatting reports and other complex materials from rough drafts, 7) planning and executing all aspects of a major award event for 250 guests, 8) utilizing advanced Microsoft Office Suite and computer skills and 9) representing the administrator and the department in a professional manner
Bilingual Spanish/English fluency will be strongly considered, but not required.

Supplemental Job Information

Some evenings or weekends may be required on occasion. This position may require some flexible hours during peak registration periods.
