Job Description

The Business Technical Analyst provides professional analytical support to the HR department in the area of business technology systems and the responsibilities of this position are to capture, analyze and report trends using core databases (SQL) and enterprise systems; generate reports on a scheduled basis; develop ad hoc reports as needed; document and verbally communicate conclusions of analysis; engage in process mapping; manage documentation for projects assigned to the team; manage multiple priorities and issue-spot as needed; troubleshoot data and reports; participate in change management and process improvement initiatives; and provide support for regulatory and compliance activities.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer applicants with 1) Advanced familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Powerpoint; Visio and SQL required. Experience with Colleague a plus. Human Resources experience a plus. 2) Ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and employ sound judgment. 3) Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. 4) Documentation skills, including technical writing and process mapping. 5) Data collection and analysis skills. 6) Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain partnerships with senior business unit management and business partners. 7) Strong communication skills (i.e. anticipate changes, make inferences, adapt your communication to a wide range of different audiences). 8) Ability to collaborate with business and development teams, end users, and product owners. 9) Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and independently, resolve project issues, meet deadlines and escalate appropriately to management.
