Job Description

Individual will be responsible for veterinary technology laboratory facility management. This will include, but is not necessarily limited to, the following things: (1) maintaining quality control and monthly maintenance on program equipment, (2) managing equipment, supply, and pharmaceutical expirations, inventories, and ordering, (3) laboratory set-up and break-down, (4) packing instruments and returning to their correct locations, (5) running sterilizing equipment including autoclaves and the ethylene oxide gas sterilizer, (6) stocking and organizing vet tech storage facilities, (7) maintaining the cleanliness of the labs and arranging supplies and equipment in an orderly fashion, (8) occasional clerical duties as pertains to animal use and management within the vet tech facilities, and (9) managing, maintaining, and updating the material data safety sheets (MSDS) and other facility safety and biohazard management.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer applicants with: (1) Veterinary Technician credentials, (2) current Veterinary Technology student standing, and (3) veterinary facility or hospital management experience.

Supplemental Job Information

This part-time position will not exceed 29 working hours per week. The supervisor will establish the work schedule upon hiring.
