Required Qualifications

The position requires at least a Bachelor’s degree and three years of prior-related work experience. The position requires at least a High School diploma or GED equivalent if substituting experience for education. In addition, requires Dental Assisting National Board – Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification.

Job Description

The position performs duties as a laboratory instructor in dental assisting: (1) sets up labs, (2) demonstrates lab procedures and protocols, and (3) cleans up after labs.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer applicants with: (1) at least a Bachelor’s degree and (2) working experience as a laboratory instructor in dental assisting.

Supplemental Job Information

This is a part-time position that will not exceed 29 working hours per week. The supervisor will establish the work schedule upon hiring. Applicants must know lab procedures for: (1) Clinical Dental Assisting, (2) Dental Materials, (3) Radiology, (4) Dental Anatomy, (5) Head and Neck Anatomy, (6) Expanded Functions, and (7) Orthodontic Expanded Functions.

Additional Documents Required

If the applicant is not substituting prior-related work experience for the educational requirement of an awarded Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited educational institution, must attach a copy of their diploma or transcript at the time of application. In addition, applicants must attach at the time of application: (1) a resume and (2) a copy of their Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification. Applicants not substituting work experience for the educational requirement must bring an official transcript when selected for an interview.
