Required Qualifications

The position requires at least an Associate’s Degree or two-year College equivalent (at least 60 undergraduate semester hours) and at least two years of prior-related work experience. The position requires at least a High School diploma or GED equivalent if substituting experience for education.

Job Description

The position provides bilingual academic and administrative support to the Connections Center at the Dale Mabry campus. The support includes: (1) provides prospective students with information on how to get started at HCC, (2) provides assistance completing applications for admissions, (3) answers questions related to the College’s EAP program, (4) provides information about college-wide resources and (5) provides clerical support.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer applicants with: (1) excellent customer service skills, (2) knowledge of HCC admission policies including residency requirements, (3) fluently bilingual in English and Spanish (fluently able to converse, read and write), and (4) knowledge of HCC EAP program at the Dale Mabry campus.

Supplemental Job Information

This is a part-time temporary position with the Title V HSI Grant that will not exceed 29 hours of work in a week. The supervisor will establish the work schedule upon hiring.

Additional Documents Required

If the applicant is not substituting prior-related work experience for the educational requirement of an awarded Associate’s Degree or two-year College equivalent (at least 60 undergraduate semester hours) from a regionally accredited educational institution, must attach a copy of their diploma or transcript at the time of application. In addition, applicants must submit a resume at the time of application. Applicants not substituting work experience for the educational requirement must bring an official transcript when selected for an interview.
