The position requires at least an Associate’s Degree or two-year College equivalent (at least 60 undergraduate semester hours) and at least two years of prior-related work experience. The position requires at least a High School diploma or GED equivalent if substituting experience for education.

Job Description

This is to fill part-time positions on the Brandon campus, Dale Mabry campus, MacDill A.F.B. center, Plant City campus, SouthShore campus, and Ybor City campus. This position provides academic support to students enrolled in science courses at HCC, develops and creates workshops/reviews for enhancing student learning, and assists student tutors as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer applicants with: (1) the ability to provide academic support for broad range of HCC science classes, (2) at least an awarded Bachelor’s degree, (3) tutoring or teaching experience in the subject area, and (4) excellent interpersonal skills.

This position will be in the campus Academic Success Center and might require occasional travel to other HCC locations. This position will be scheduled to work 20-28 hours per week. Evening and weekend hours may be required.

If the applicant is not substituting experience for the educational requirement of an awarded Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited educational institution, must submit a copy of their diploma or transcript at the time of application.
